Vehemence❣️

                       Vehemence

Her eyes sparkled, but in solitude

Waves came over, drenched her all at once

Lost in the melancholy of ocean, unconditionally relieved

Staring at the gaze of the blue sky

Amidst them was the scrumptious sunset

Tears rolled down her puffy eyes

Dying to embrace death, she treaded further

Abruptly, her eyes were wide open

Stopped by something adorable, she turned

Warmth of affection swayed her

A tiny finger on her hand bestowed this warmth

There stood a little one, as solitary as her

Craving for the same

Believably, two solitary souls!

For each other, they can exist

Embellished by one another with the accompaniment of warmth

Precipitous ray of hope enlightened thier lives!

Haircare routine 💆‍♀️

Hello girls, here are some tips you should take care of, for your hair.

Daily hair care routine tips for women!

As mentioned, always take some time out of your busy schedule to take care of yourself (and your hair). Give yourself a break and follow a hair care routine. Following are the few hair care tips that you can keep in mind while taking care of your hair:

1.Don’t let your hair become greasy. Wash your hair timely and make sure there is no grease in your hair. Greasy hair may even lead to more significant hair loss.

2.Get head massages and comb regularly. Remember how mum asked you to do a "maalish" every week? She was right! Head massages increase blood circulation which helps your hair grow faster.

3.Open hair, a big YES! Now that everything is virtual, you can keep your hair loose without worry. Tying your hair too often or too tight can lead to hair fall or breakage. Switch to more open hair days for yourself.

4.If you do step out, cover your hair! Keep your head covered using a hat or a scarf. The dust particles in the atmosphere settle on your scalp which may result in constant itching. Itching or scratching your head can lead to massive hair fall.

5.Flaunt your natural hair and say bye to styling! Be it a date or a photoshoot, we all tend to treat our hair too much with heat styling. Accept your hair as it is and flaunt it naturally because too much styling can cause a lot of damage to your hair. It can make hair prone to breakage, dryness, frizz, and hair fall.

6.Use the right products. Understanding what suits your hair is necessary. Using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair is important and using it consistently can show positive results. To ensure hair fall control, the right products are a must.

Ola kumarakom! 🌞

 A visit to Kumarakom

Kumarakom is a tourist spot in Kottayam, Kerala and has views in the outskirts of the Vembanad Lake. I had a visit to Kumarakom and the experience was so amazing! I recommend everyone one of you to visit at some time since it's very soothing and refreshing.

I visited the bird sanctuary and also went for boating in the Vembanad lake. People across Kerala and other places make visit to this place and it's almost always crowded. Speaking of the food, the place is quite famous for sea food and it's just delicious. The bird sanctuary was good and quiet with gentle chirping of birds.

Boating was excellent with gentle breeze, resorts on sides and the embracing beauty of Kerala.

College students healthy routine

8 Amazing Daily Routine Activities for Students

Here are 8 student daily routine activities that will help you get the most out of your college career:

1. Wake up Early

Getting up early is the first step to a healthy lifestyle. It is especially important for college students. This is because the first few hours of the day will determine how productive you are in completing your tasks or assignments.

You need to be well-rested every time you go to college, especially if there are subjects that require your full attention and concentration.

2. Eat a Healthy Breakfast

The most important part of your morning is your first meal, or ‘breakfast.’ A healthy breakfast will help you maintain your energy levels throughout the day.

Try to eat foods that are nutrient-rich and high in fiber. Students who eat breakfast show better concentration levels and lower levels of stress throughout the day.

In addition to regular meals, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep. This habit will ensure that you’re staying on top of your health and achieving your goals both academically and personally.

3. Exercise Regularly

In order to have a healthy body, you need to incorporate exercise into your student routine. Exercise will release endorphins in the brain and make you feel good.

It is a good prescription for a healthy mind and body. Moreover, exercise can also increase concentration levels. This is great for students who are trying to balance their classes with their personal lives.

4. Pack a Lunch

The daily routine of a student should include packing a lunch from home. This way, you can still eat healthy while saving money!

Healthy meals are not only good for your body but they also come with other benefits like reduced risk of heart disease, lower cholesterol levels, improved memory, and improved mood.

5. Set Personal Goals for The Day

For example, set aside time each morning to exercise and eat breakfast. Plan your classes and work time around your personal goals.

Doing this will ensure that you don’t skip breakfast or exercise, because of your busy schedule.

6. Get Enough Sleep Every Night

Sleep is essential for a good student routine, and college students can have difficulties getting enough sleep. The National Sleep Foundation recommends that adults aged 18-64 should get 7-9 hours of sleep per night.

College students are often late to bed due to studying or staying up too late. It’s important to keep in mind that insufficient sleep can lead to learning issues, weight gain, depression, and lowered immune function. So make sure you are getting enough sleep each night.

7. Keep a Consistent Study Schedule

A lot of students have trouble prioritizing their studies over other aspects of their lives. Making time for studying is important to get the grades you need for your desired career path.

Oftentimes in colleges, you will find it difficult to juggle between different subjects. That’s where study plans come into play.

They help you prioritize by allocating a specific number of hours to each subject. Hence, study plans are a great way to plan ahead and be more efficient with time management.

8. Be Mindful of Your Social Media Usage

A good approach to limiting social media usage is to keep a fixed time frame every day. This will help prevent the overuse of phone time as well as allow you to stay focused on your studies without being tempted by social media sites.

Tastes of Kerala

 Don’t leave Kerala without trying…

Puttu and kadala curry

This is a breakfast staple eaten all over the state. Puttu is a cylindrical steamed rice cake cooked in a mould with grated coconut. It's usually served with kadala curry, a dish of black chickpeas made with shallots, spices and coconut milk, that can also be served with ripe bananas and grated coconut.

Appam with stew

Appam is a Keralan staple made from fermented rice flour and coconut milk. It’s similar to a thin pancake with crispy edges. These crepe-like bowls are made from fermented rice flour, coconut milk, coconut water and a little sugar. Ishtu or stew is a derivative of the European stew and consists of coconut milk, cinnamon, cloves and shallots, eaten with appams. The stew may also feature mango pieces, vegetables, chicken or lamb. The addition of aromatic whole spices, ginger and fresh coconut milk enhance the natural flavor of the vegetables. The crucial ingredient is fresh coconut milk, which lends a sweet flavor.

Karimeen pollichathu (fish)

This is one of Kerala’s traditional delicacies. Karimeen or pearl spot fish is a speckled fish commonly found in the backwaters of this state. This is traditionally a Syrian Christian delicacy but has become part of Kerala’s rich cuisine. Pearl spot fish is marinated in a mixture of lemon juice, red chillies, and other ingredients, wrapped and baked in plantain leaves, giving it a unique flavour.

Malabar Parotta with Kerala beef curry

Layered flat bread that originated in the Malabar region called Parotta is made by kneading maida (plain flour), egg (in some recipes), oil or ghee and water. The dough is beaten and later shaped into a spiral with thin layers. The ball is rolled flat and roasted into a Parotta with ghee. This is then eaten with beef curry - pieces of beef simmered in a curry made with tomatoes, onions, garlic and spices like bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black peppercorns and star anise.

Palada payasam (dessert)

A sweet rice kheer prepared with palada is a delicacy made in almost all Kerala households during the festival of Onam and many other special occasions. There are many variations of it, however, the traditional recipe uses only basic ingredients like rice ada, milk, sugar and ghee. Rice ada is easily available in Indian Kerala grocery stores.

Kerala prawn curry (chemmeen curry)

This is a signature dish of the state - a prawn curry from the Malabar region made with a blend of fenugreek, black mustard and fennel seeds, coconut milk and green chilli. It also includes a special ingredient called kudampuli (also known as brindleberry) to give it a sour taste, plus it uses marinated prawns, drumsticks and raw mango to give it a spicy, tangy flavour.

Thalassery biriyani

A rice biriyani is the most common dish of the Muslim community. Thalassery sea port was a centre for the export of spices where European, Arab and Malabar cultures came together and influenced the cuisine. Thalassery biriyani uses a unique, fragrant, small-grained, thin rice variety named kaima. The biriyani masala and cooked rice are arranged in layers inside the dish. Meat is cooked with the masala on a low heat and layered with rice before the lid of the container is sealed with dough. Hot coal or charcoal is then placed above the lid.

Banana fritters (dessert)

Pazham pori or Ethakka appam are juicy banana fritters tha feature as a traditional tea time snack. They're available throughout Kerala and are simply ripe bananas coated with plain flour and deep-fried in oil.

Fitness exercises 🏋🚴💪

Here are the best exercises for you! Stay tuned..

Experts say there is no magic to exercise: You get out of it what you put in. That doesn't mean you have to work out for hours each day. It just means you need to work smart.

So what are the best exercises? Let's check it out!

Walking

Any exercise program should include cardiovascular exercise, which strengthens the heart and burns calories. And walking is something you can do anywhere, anytime, with no equipment other than a good pair of shoes.

 Interval training

Whether you're a beginner or an exercise veteran, a walker or an aerobic dancer, adding interval training to your cardiovascular workout will boost your fitness level and help you lose weight.

Squats

Strength training is essential, the experts say. "The more muscular fitness you have," says Cotton, "the greater the capacity you have to burn calories."

And our experts tended to favor strength-training exercises that target multiple muscle groups. Squats, which work the quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteals, are an excellent example.

Lunges

Like squats, lunges work all the major muscles of the lower body: gluteals, quadriceps, and hamstrings.

Push-ups

If done correctly, the push-up can strengthen the chest, shoulders, triceps, and even the core trunk muscles, all at one time.
